Points Accounting Mechanism
First of all some general remarks.
Our points it is NOT points of official ATP tennis federation (race points, entry points) so don't
confuse and don't wonder if our players points possession (ranks, or race positions) do not match to official ATP ranks.
But in generally our accounting algorithm the same to the official mathods.
Some principal details explained below.
Each player which has won the match got some number of points. Number
of points which get each player depend of tournament level and round in which player has won the match (see table below).
If player get ahead win he get only 50% from specified below number of points.
If match hasn't played (due to player retirement), then technical winner hasn't got any points.
So according to this terms we can resume:
Basically difference between this algorithm and official algorithm is: player get points not for
position (round) for which he has got in tournament, but for actually won matches. As for me this algorithm
more correct, more objective.
Points are given for next tournaments:
- Satellites - Sa
- Futures - F
- Challengers - Ch
- Interantion Series, Interantion Series Gold - IS
- Masters Series, Masters Cup - MS, MC
- Grand Slams, GS
